I cannot even describe the wall of sound coming from the bottle brush bush right now. Happy bugs!

After these last few weeks, I can fully and honestly say I am not the kind of person who will ever be into golden showers. Not knocking it if it’s your thing. But I cannot envision a situation where getting peed on would ever be my deal.
Plus, getting up many times during the night and being relatively functional is not my thing either. I can cope but not a fan. So this supports my decision not to pop out a baby.

Facebook wants me to share a memory about a sibling, and all I can think of is the day back in 1985 that we drove over an hour to go ice skating all day, and then back. But about 30 minutes into our drive there, I leaned over and puked on Mohini ‘s head. My mom did the best she could for Mo’s hair and shirt in a gas station restroom, but she was soggy and barf-scented for what was supposed to be a super fun day.
Kishori K.: I totally remember that!!!
Mohini K.: I can still smell that puke!! Ugh. I was SO excited to go ice skating and I was SO sad that you puked on my head. Thanks, also, for always eating your dessert super fast and then “convincing” me to share mine with you.

Not to leave out my bro Samba on the weirdly fabricated sibling day. I was never a jerk as a kid (well, as much as you can say that about kids) but one day my mom left to get groceries and she told me to wash the dishes. I told my brother she said for him to do it. I felt so guilty that I stood there watching him around the corner the whole time he washed dishes instead of playing with My Little Ponies with my sister like I had planned. I loved My Little Ponies (#firefly) but I loved my doofy brother more.

And of course a shout out to Varsana on Sibling Day because #sisters…. she once told me a story about being sick in someone else’s car, but fearing for their upholstery, she chose to barf down her shirt, into her sports bra. Because she is a conscientious and considerate soul ❤
Varsana M.: Oh my god, Radha! You bad, bad girl!
Varsana M.: But thanks for the love, even if it was a variety of love that recalled a messy, messy night. I wish I had something to get you back, but I’m drawing a blank right now….hmmmmmm….

Overheard at Big Lots (elderly gentleman to elderly lady), “Eighty-two? You don’t look it. I wouldn’t have guessed you for a day over seventy.” Straight dropping that game, yo!

Sammy might not be able to walk much, but can still enjoy the fuck out of a broccoli bone, yo.

I was doing good on my taxes (considering I’m self-employed, you know, and have oodles of forms to fill out), until I got to the new health care part. And I spent WAY too much time going in circles. So it occurs to me that our tax paperwork should be easy enough for a high school graduate to fill out. Which means that a) we will be graduating kids who have a decent level education and awareness of the poverty line, and b) the IRS will be required to simplify things to a measurable level of expectation. It’s a win-win guideline.
