Welp, I mowed my yard (except the patches left for wildflowers and bugs) and tried to eradicate an invasive vine that’s gotten a grip on my property suddenly. I may have worked through that rain we got just now. Homeownership is not always glamorous. I’m a mess. ðĪŠðĶðĶâ ïļ
Nellie: Well, now I’m invested…. What type of vine?
Cat Claw Vine? Skunk vine?
My job used to be eradicating invasive exotics, you know ð
Radha Krueger: Nellie OMG skunk vine! It’s terrible. The vacant lot across the street is covered in it. I found one instance of it at my mailbox recently. I traced it down to every place it touched the ground and carefully pulled up every root. It definitely smells lol
Nellie: Radha Krueger so for that one, if it doesn’t have berries yet, you can just cut back to the ground and paint the vine stumps where you cut with a vine killer.
If it does have berries you need to remove the plants that you cut. If it doesn’t you can just separate it from the root source and painting the root source with chemicals.
It smells so bad. Especially in the mornings.
