Remember when all of us girls complained about the insane dress codes in schools that banned things like tank tops? Little tragedies like that grow up to be big tragedies like banning trans people. It inserts the concepts in our society at an early age that ‘women’ are primarily sexual objects, boys aren’t responsible for their behavior, it is the responsibility of the institution to enforce morals decided by a few, and that what people think of you today is how you will always be, regardless of how you evolve as a human.
