I took a quick walk this morning before my “commute to work” and saw more than a few kids being dropped off at grandparents houses so parents could go to work. Kids who are normally in school. Grandparents who are one of the vulnerable populations. Parents who have to work. I live in a very working class neighborhood. Self-isolation is a privilege.
Aaron S.: Yep. The more I hear stories from others on FB, the more I realize how incredibly fortunate I am at the moment being able to work from home and do remote logins to the university.
Margaret H.: I was thinking this weekend about the kids whose primary caregiver is grandparent and how this disease has the potential to absolutely devastate those families.
Rachel R.: I’m grateful I have a paying job. Many surgical techs in private hospitals are sent home, no pay and have to use their leave.

Okay, now I’m ready for this.
Carla G.: Good luck!
Radha Krueger: My Publix seems pretty restocked (I didn’t look at the paper aisle LOL) but why is there no sugar? Who is hoarding that?
Daniella P.: No flour. No yeast. First time in my life I want to make bread… nope.
Aaron S.: Apparently the entire country has decided to take up baking. My FB feed is filled with stuff people are making, and stores are getting reported out of ingredients from here to California.
Jesse N.: Itβs recommended to not use ibuprofen in the event of covid-19, their suggesting acetaminophen instead. If the ibuprofen is for the hangover from chugging two bottles of wine please carry on π
Radha Krueger: Jesse N. it’s for my period cramps!
Margaret H.: Radha Krueger every female on your feed knew that π
Jesse N.: This is what I get for trying to think and be helpful first thing in the morning π€£
Luv u Radha π

Day 5: house arrest
Trying to stay active so walking the neighborhood with my coffee first thing. Snacks are dumb when your fridge is down the hall and it has beer & cheese. Last Publix run before officially locked down. Dinner and game with Bobby, and my first walk across the DNA bridge. All socially distant, of course.
