I spent a while digging a hole to bury a cat this morning. It’s a longer story than that, but the tl;dr is that a neighbor a few streets away needed help burying a dead cat that no one claimed because she didn’t want to watch it sit out on the street any longer. It was cold and not easy to dig, but needed to be done. And then I spent some time with the neighbor. She showed me pictures of her own cats who were long gone, and her art.
I say this because now more than ever it’s so important to take the time to be where you need to be for your friends and family, and people in your community even if you don’t know them yet. Today.

It was very cold at first (my face 🥶) but I felt fortunate to be able to walk with such a lovely cross section of our community to celebrate each other and the previous generations who worked to put us all on a better path. I have not given over to despair just yet. Community is more important now than it’s ever been. ❤️🦝💃🏼✨ Also, walked back through Reserve Park which is delightful!

Do I think you’re stupid for supporting Trump?
No.
You’re cruel. You’re mean in your heart and love to see cruelty enacted on other people. You’re proud of your willful ignorance. You lack empathy. Despite your performative Christianity, you do not embody the values Jesus taught. You stand on what you think is moral high ground and punch down. In fact, you’re so small minded and petty that you can’t see your own place in the world. You are isolated and lonely, and you want everyone else to feel your pain. You’re not stupid. You are cruel.
